Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 24, 2026

My Goosie LLC (“My Goosie,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates Spellfort, a collection of voice-controlled games. This policy explains what we collect, why we use it, when we disclose it, and your choices.

1. Information we collect

  • Voice audio and transcripts. While Spellfort shows that it is listening, it captures your commands, guesses, and feedback. We stream audio to our speech-to-text provider and may upload raw utterance recordings to our systems. We retain recordings and transcripts to run and improve Spellfort.
  • Gameplay and technical data. We collect game choices, answers, scores, hints, progress, session events, timestamps, random installation and device-session IDs, app and platform details, network and request data, and crash, error, and performance diagnostics. Server logs and feedback may include an IP address.
  • Account and contact data. Sign in with Apple provides an account ID and, when available, your name and email address. Apple may provide a private relay address. If you create an account, we also use your email for game news and offers. You can opt out at any time in app settings or through the unsubscribe link in any update email.
  • Purchase data. Apple provides signed transaction details such as the product, transaction IDs, dates, subscription status, App Store environment, and an ID linking the purchase to your Spellfort account. Apple processes payment details; we do not receive your full card or bank information.
  • Website data. Our servers may receive your IP address, browser type, requested page, and request time. We do not currently use advertising cookies or cross-site advertising trackers.

Please do not speak sensitive information that is not needed to play. We do not use audio to create voiceprints, identify or authenticate speakers, or target advertising. Before the first voice session, the app asks you to confirm that you are at least 13 and consent to the voice-data practices described here.

2. How we use information

We use information to:

  • understand voice commands, judge answers, and deliver games and narration;
  • save progress, personalize game selection, and manage accounts and subscriptions;
  • evaluate and improve speech recognition, answer judging, game logic, prompts, narration, and other features;
  • provide support, respond to requests, and send game updates you can opt out of; and
  • protect the Service, enforce our Terms, and comply with law.

Improvement work may include reviewing recordings, transcripts, and gameplay context; measuring performance across words, pronunciations, accents, speaking styles, and audio conditions; investigating failed interactions; and creating evaluation or training datasets for systems that support Spellfort. Authorized personnel and contractors may listen to recordings, and automated tools may analyze them. We do not sell personal information.

3. When we disclose information

We limit providers to data needed for their work and require appropriate protections. They include:

  • ElevenLabs for speech-to-text and generated speech. Microphone audio is sent to ElevenLabs while Spellfort listens. Its retention and improvement use depend on our account settings and its terms.
  • OpenAI for interpreting transcript text, classifying intent, and judging some answers. Relevant transcript text and game context may be sent to OpenAI.
  • Sentry for diagnostics and performance monitoring. We disable default personally identifying data, though events may include technical context.
  • Apple for app distribution, authentication, permissions, and purchases.
  • Hosting, database, networking, and security providers for operating and protecting the Service.

We may also disclose information when required by law; to prevent fraud, security issues, or harm; or in connection with a financing, merger, reorganization, acquisition, or sale.

4. Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account is active. We keep voice, transcript, gameplay, feedback, device, and diagnostic data as reasonably needed to provide and improve Spellfort, maintain evaluation or training datasets, investigate problems, protect the Service, and meet legal obligations. We do not currently use a fixed automatic deletion period for recordings or transcripts retained for improvement.

Deleting your account removes its name and email and deletes raw recordings linked to it. Transcripts may remain in gameplay or operational records after we remove the account link, may remain linked to a device-session ID, and may still be used to improve Spellfort. To request deletion of transcripts, unsigned-installation data, or other data beyond the in-app flow, email us. We may ask you to verify control of the account or installation.

We preserve enough source information to honor verified deletion requests for separate evaluation or training datasets, unless the data has been made reasonably unlinkable. We do not delete aggregate statistics or model parameters that cannot reasonably reconstruct a recording or transcript.

We may retain App Store transactions for purchase restoration, access, fraud prevention, disputes, and legal or accounting duties. After account deletion, we also keep a one-way, keyed version of the Apple account ID solely to prevent repeated free-access claims and reconnect entitlements; it cannot recover Apple’s original ID. Account deletion asks Apple to revoke Spellfort’s access when possible. If Apple is unavailable, we retain the encrypted authorization token until Apple confirms revocation.

Deletion may not immediately remove encrypted backups, which are overwritten on their normal schedule. We may retain limited records when required for law, security, fraud prevention, disputes, or enforcement.

5. Your choices and rights

  • Withdraw voice consent in About Spellfort or disable microphone access in iOS Settings. Withdrawal stops voice use but does not delete previously collected data.
  • Sign out or delete your account in the app. Account deletion does not cancel an App Store subscription, which you must manage through Apple.
  • Turn game-update email off in account settings or through an unsubscribe link.
  • Depending on where you live, request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or a portable copy of your information; object to certain processing; limit use of sensitive information; or appeal our response.

We do not track you across unrelated services for advertising or sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not do this, Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals do not change our current practices. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.

6. Children

Spellfort is not directed to children under 13, and they may not use it or provide information. Users under the age of legal majority where they live need a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. The app’s age confirmation is a self-attestation, not age verification.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided information so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.

7. Security and international processing

We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries with different privacy laws from where you live.

8. Changes and contact

We may update this policy and its effective date as Spellfort changes. We will give additional notice of material changes when required by law. For questions or privacy requests, contact My Goosie LLC at privacy@spellfort.gg.
